San Angelo Police Department Welcomes Back Familiar Face
Yesterday, Police Chief Frank Carter had the honor of welcoming back a 20-year veteran to the Department as a Reserve Officer.
After his retirement this May, Retired Police Sergeant Todd Dornhecker once again took an oath to serve the citizens of San Angelo.
Sgt. Dornhecker started his career with the SAPD in April 1996 and has extensive law enforcement experience — having served in the Department’s Patrol Division, K-9 Unit, Narcotics Section, Special Operations Section, and Traffic Section. Prior to his career in the San Angelo Police Department, Sgt. Dornhecker worked as a Corrections Officer with the Llano County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Dornhecker holds a Master Peace Officer’s License, is a certified TCOLE Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and he holds various Gang and Narcotics Certifications.
“I wanted to take on the role as a Reserve Officer because I missed working alongside my police family. I am grateful for the opportunity to come back in this capacity and give back to the community and continue to serve the citizens of San Angelo.” — Todd Dornhecker.
