San Angelo TX, (November 2, 2023, 3:08 pm) Two males were transported to Shannon Medical Center after a single vehicle rollover accident in South San Angelo. A 37 and 36-year-old male were occupants of the vehicle, and they were transported to Shannon Medical Center
The SAPD and SAFD were dispatched to the 300 block of S. US 87 in reference to a Major Motor Vehicle Accident. Officers arrived on scene and immediately began providing first aid to both occupants of the vehicle. Both occupants were then transported to Shannon Medical Center where the driver (37-year-old male) was pronounced as deceased. The status of the passenger (36-year-old male) is currently stable at this time. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
It was learned that the vehicle (Nissan Frontier) was traveling North in the 300 block of S. US 87 when it left the roadway and struck a TXDOT sign. This accident was not a result of a vehicle pursuit involving any law enforcement agency.
This accident is currently being investigated by SAPD’s Traffic Division and further information may be released at a later point in time.
