Tracy Fincher

Tracy Fincher was hired in November 1995 and served as a patrolman and Narcotics Detective prior to being promoted to Sergeant in 2002.  He then served as Patrol Sergeant for a few months prior to being assigned as the Department's Internal Affairs Sergeant and Public Information Officer.  Chief Fincher was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004 and was assigned as "C" Company Shift Commander.  While serving as "C" Shift Lieutenant he was awarded Patrol Supervisor of the year as well as the Department's Officer of the year.  In June of 2005, Tracy Fincher was transferred back to the Narcotics Division where he served as the Division Commander until 2009.  From 2009 until 2016 he served as both the Criminal Investigations Division Commander and Intel Division Commander. Assistant Chief Fincher is currently assigned as the Assistant Chief over Operations.

Fincher holds an Advanced Peace Officers license from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.
