Before joining the San Angelo Police Department in 2004, Lieutenant Adam L. Scott served his country honorably overseas as a naval petty officer in Yokosuka, Japan.  Lt Scott served as an Operations Specialist and Search and Rescue Swimmer receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Navy in 1998.  He returned stateside, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Government/Criminal Justice.  Lt Scott worked at the Tom Green County Jail for a brief time before joining the Police Department in 2004.

Lt Scott began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer working the night shift, before promoting to the rank of Sergeant in 2011.  Lt Scott again, served as a patrol supervisor on night shift before promoting to his current rank of Lieutenant in 2016.  During his law enforcement career, Lt Scott has served as a probationary training officer, Drug Recognition Expert, and a member of the Departments Special Weapons and Tactics team (SWAT team).

Lt Scott currently serves as the patrol commander of night shift, E and F companies, as well as the K9 division.
