  • 050316(01)-Police Investigating Robbery Calls

    San Angelo Police are investigating two Robbery calls that occurred last night, May 2, 2016.
    At 10:13 pm, San Angelo Police responded to a robbery call at the 7-11 located at 1719 Kenwood. The clerk and a witness reported a young Hispanic male entered the store wearing black clothing with his face covered. The suspect appeared to be approximately 5?6? to 5?8? tall and weigh approximately 130-150 pounds and was wearing a dark colored backpack. The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect left the store prior to Officers arriving on scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was not located. No one in the store was injured during the robbery.
    At 11:28 pm, San Angelo Police responded to a second call for a Robbery at the Allsups located at 3802 Sherwood Way. The description of the suspect given by the clerk matched the description given from the Robbery earlier in the night at 1719 Kenwood. The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was not located. No one in the store was hurt during the robbery.
    Detective Russell is the lead investigator for both Robbery calls. It is believed at this time both Robberies were committed by the same suspect.

  • 042716(14)-Police Investigating Two Robberies

    Yesterday, April 26, 2016 at 8:18 pm, San Angelo Police responded to 2220 Howard Street at the Snack and Save for a report of a Robbery. Upon arrival, Officers learned a Hispanic male, who was described as being about 5?5??, 25 years of age, wearing a black hoodie, and having his face covered, entered the store and pointed a gun at a customer. The suspect retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store. Officers attempted to locate the suspect in the area but he was not located. There were no injuries to employees or customers of the store.
    Early this morning, April 27, 2016 at approximately 5:20 am, San Angelo Police responded to 1017 Caddo at Lucky Sweepstakes for a report of a robbery. The victim reported to Officers that a black male, approximately 5?6??-5?9?? and weighing between 180-200 pounds, entered the business through the front door. The suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded money from the cash registers. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was not located. The victim did not sustain any injury.
    Detective Chris Soto responded to both Robberies and is the lead investigator for these incidents. There is no other information for release at this time.

  • Police make Arrest for Aggravated Robbery

    Twenty-eight year old Christopher Salmon was arrested yesterday for Aggravated Robbery after displaying a knife and stealing prescription medication at a local pharmacy.
    Yesterday, April 26, 2016 at approximately 6:50 pm, San Angelo Police received a report of a Robbery at CVS Pharmacy, 318 W Beauregard. An employee of CVS reported the suspect displayed a knife and demanded he be given prescription medication or he would kill the employee. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription pills. There was no injury to the employee.
    Officers responding to the call were able to locate the suspect, Christopher Salmon, leaving the area on foot and take him into custody without incident in the 400 block of W Beauregard. Officers were able to locate Salmon quickly due to citizens pointing out the direction he left CVS.
    Detective L Dye responded to the call to conduct an investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, Salmon was transported to the Tom Green County Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Robbery.
