  • Press Release #091115(09)-Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Stolen Property from Residential Burglary

    A 35-year-old San Angelo man has been arrested in connection to a residential burglary that occurred yesterday afternoon.

     

    Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Milton Street around 12:40 yesterday for a burglary in progress.  Upon arrival, a witness provided the Officers with a description of the suspect and photographs of the suspect's vehicle and license plate taken with the witness? smart phone. 

     

    During the field investigation, Officers developed information about the possible suspect's identity.  The suspect vehicle, an orange 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, was later located at a residence in the 3000 block of Odell.  The suspect was located a short time later in the 1900 block of Ricks Drive and taken into custody without incident for outstanding warrants.  He was identified as Isaac Jon Deanda (DOB 12-19-79) of San Angelo and transported to Police Headquarters for interview.  

     

    Based on evidence collected at the scene by Crime Scene Technicians and information obtained in the interview, Deanda was charged with Burglary of a Habitation and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident. 

     

    The stolen property, two television sets and a handgun, were recovered from a storage building located at the residence on Odell.

     

    This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed.

  • Press Release #091015(08)-Police Searching for Remaining Wanted Suspect in August Shooting

    San Angelo Police have obtained an Arrest Warrant for a fourth person involved in the shooting incident on N. Sellers Street last month.

     

    Eric J. Martinez (DOB 09-08-89) is wanted for Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit another Felony for his involvement in the shooting of a 69-year-old San Angelo man on August 31, 2015, at a residence in the 500 block of N. Sellers St.   The shooting victim has not recovered.  He is being treated at a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.

     

    Fernando Lavaris Jr. (DOB 06-19-86) was arrested the day of the shooting by the Department's Special Operations Section and Patrol Division.  Two other suspects involved in the incident were recently arrested; Jonathan Jesse Marin (DOB 02-28-89) was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on September 3 and Eliza [AKA Lisa] Losoya  (DOB 02-23-87) on September 2.

  • Press Release #091015(07)-Police Search for Green-eyed Aggravated Robbery Suspect

    San Angelo Police are investigating an Aggravated Robbery that occurred Wednesday night at a local liquor store.

     

    At around 9:00 p.m. on September 9, 2015, a man walked into the Party Barn Liquor Store located at 2302 Sherwood Way and demanded money from store employees at knifepoint.  The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

     

    He was described as a White male, short brown hair, light-green eyes, approximately 6?, between 160-180 lbs.  He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie over a cap, and a bandana.  The suspect may have a chipped tooth.
