    The San Angelo Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred early this morning in north San Angelo.


    At approximately 4:10 a.m. this morning, San Angelo Police responded to a home invasion robbery in the 2800 block of Bowie St.  No one was hurt during this incident but a weapon was exhibited during the robbery.


    The suspect(s) got away with various items of value, including the family vehicle, which was recovered shortly thereafter, and left in an unknown direction.

  • Press Release #102915(21)-Police Investigate Shots Fired, Damage to Local Elementary School

    Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division are investigating several shots fired calls, one that caused damage to a local elementary school.


    On October 28, 2015, around 10:00 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 700 block of N. Van Buren Street for the report of shots fired.  Dispatch advised investigating Officers that a complainant heard multiple gunshots in the area.


    Upon arrival, Police searched the roadway and located several spent shell casings from a handgun.  Police did not locate any damage to property adjacent to the street and no one reported injuries at the time of this call.


    Police returned to the 700 block of N. Van Buren for follow-up investigation.  After canvassing the area, Officers discovered apparent damage to Austin Elementary School and recovered evidence of gunfire.  The school was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

  • Press Release #102915(20)-Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Northeast San Angelo

    Around 7:40 p.m. last night, San Angelo Police Patrol Officer C. Delacruz was driving near the 400 block of S. Bell Street when he discovered a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.


    It was learned that prior to Officer Delacruz's arrival, Claude Holland Jr. walking in the roadway with the flow of traffic and was struck by a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix that was traveling northbound in the outside lane.  The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old female San Angelo resident, noticed Holland and attempted to stop but was unable to avoid impact. 


    Holland sustained incapacitating injuries from the collision and he was transported to Shannon Medical Center by City Ambulance for evaluation.  Hospital staff advised Police that Holland's injuries did not appear to be life threatening.  His current condition is unknown.  The driver was not injured.


    Holland appeared to be under the influence of alcohol prior to the crash.  Investigators listed alcohol and failure to yield the right of way to a vehicle as contributing factors in the Crash Report. 


    At this time, no charges have been filed and no citations have been issued.
