On May 14th, 2012 at approximately 9:05 pm San Angelo Police were responded to the 100 blk of E Ave I to a call of shots fired. Arriving units located a subject in the middle of the street at that location that had been shot in the leg. The shooting Victim was identified as Charlie Hernandez 5/5/69. Hernandez was taken to Shannon Hospital by Ambulance. Police spoke with several witnesses at the scene that indicated they heard four or five gunshots and heard two vehicles leaving the area in a hurried manner. There is no Suspect information at this time. Det. Rodney Black and Det. Hank Hethcock are investigating this incident.
