Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Seizure

San Angelo Police seized a quantity of cocaine, ecstasy, Xanax, and marijuana on Monday, August 21, 2017, during a late-night traffic stop on Millspaugh Street. 

At approximately 11:45 p.m., a San Angelo Police Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 800 block of Millspaugh Street.  During the stop, the Officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment.  Police subsequently discovered approximately 36 grams of suspected powder and crack cocaine, approximately 6.8 grams of suspected ecstasy and Xanax, and approximately 3 ounces of marijuana.  

Two passengers, Erick J. Leday, 30, of San Angelo and Jamaukas J. Guidry, 23, of Lafayette, Louisiana were arrested during the traffic investigation.  Leday was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Resist Arrest Search or Transport, and Class A Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.  Guidry was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Class A Misdemeanor Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3, and Class A Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.  Leday and Guidry were booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
