San Angelo Woman Arrested After Purposely Driving Into Pedestrian
Sunday, October 22, 2017 — 24-year-old Toni R. Ray has been charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly weapon after she reportedly struck a 27-year-old female pedestrian in the 1800 block of Hudson Street around 3:15 a.m.
Subsequent to the field investigation, Police learned that just prior to the crash the victim and Ray had run into one another at the Stripes Convenience Store located at 1821 N. Bryant Boulevard. The victim, who is known to Ray, reportedly left the store to avoid confrontation and was later struck by Ray’s white 2012 Ford Edge as she was attempting to walk home. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of incapacitating injuries.
Police located Ray and her damaged vehicle in the 3300 block of Sherwood Way. Ray was booked into the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
