San Angelo Police Detectives Strike Gold, Solve Local Jewelry Store Capers

Pursuant to the follow-up investigations into two recent burglaries at the Jewelry Doctor, 2211 W. Beauregard, Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division developed probable cause to name 20-year-old Gabriel Ramirez as the suspect.

On Monday, May 20, 2019, Detectives obtained two warrants of arrest for Burglary of a Building for Ramirez.  An apprehension team located and arrested Ramirez in the 200 block of Glenna Drive without incident.  Investigators also located and recovered a portion of the store’s stolen jewelry.

Ramirez was transported to Police Headquarters for interview.  As a result of the interview, Detectives have linked Ramirez to additional ongoing investigations for recent burglaries at the Bridal Boutique, 424 N. Van Buren, and the Dollar General located at 1515 Freeland Avenue.  Additional charges are pending.

Following the interview, Ramirez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
