San Angelo Police Apprehend Suspect in Morning Stabbing near ASU

February 26, 2019 — 37-year-old San Angelo resident Stephanie Hill has been arrested in connection with an early morning stabbing on South Fillmore Street.

Just after 8:00 a.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to Shannon Medical Center for the report of a 43-year-old San Angelo man who was being treated for a stab wound to the neck area.  His injuries were non-life-threatening.

The reported stabbing occurred inside an apartment located in the 1800 block of South Fillmore.  Officers quickly secured the crime scene and additional units flooded the area in partnership with Angelo State University Police in search of Hill.

Hill was located approximately one and a half (1.5) hours later at the Cliff House Apartments located at 1818 South Harrison Street and taken into custody without incident.

A preliminary investigation revealed that prior to the stabbing, Hill reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with family members.  During the altercation, Hill threw a knife towards a 19-year-old male family member before she stabbed the victim.  The teen was not injured.

Hill will be charged with First Degree Felony Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon-Family Violence.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available for release.
