“Purse Snatchers” Injure Elderly, Disabled Woman on N. Bell

San Angelo Police need your help locating two “purse snatcher” suspects that injured a disabled, 66-year-old woman this afternoon.  The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the 500 block of N. Bell Street shortly after the woman exited a taxi.  The first suspect, described as a Hispanic female in her thirties, approximately 120-135 lbs., with long black hair (mid-back), and wearing black shorts, pulled the purse away from the woman after a brief struggle.  The suspect then fled into a nearby vehicle driven by a Hispanic male.  The suspect vehicle was described as a “shiny” red crossover style SUV.  The taxi’s driver attempted to follow the suspect vehicle but eventually lost sight of it near S. Bell and Koberlin.
