A 37-year-old San Angelo man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he led police on a brief pursuit in North San Angelo.
Yesterday, San Angelo Police were called to assist other agencies with serving a Federal Parole Warrant on wanted felon Noe Cortez, Jr.
Just before 1:30 p.m., San Angelo Police observed a blue 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer being operated by Cortez near the intersection of N. Chadbourne and 14th Streets. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop but Cortez refused to stop and a short vehicle pursuit ensued through the surrounding neighborhood.

Cortez was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, Officers located a small amount of suspected Methamphetamine. Cortez was arrested for his outstanding warrant and later booked into the Tom Green County Jail. Additional charges are pending further investigation.
