Police Investigate Drive-by Shooting on Canadian Street

At approximately 2:40 a.m. this morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to a residence in the 3500 block of Canadian Street for the report of a shooting victim.

Upon arrival, Officers entered the residence and located an 18-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper arm.  Officers applied a Combat Application Tourniquet until San Angelo Fire Department Medics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.  The man’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

Detectives with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene for follow-up investigation.  After interviewing several witnesses, Officers learned the victim was among friends attending a party inside the residence when an unknown person(s) fired several rounds towards the house.  One of the bullets went through a window and struck the victim.  No other occupants were injured.
